For the first time ever and in the same week that the long awaited solo album H.N.I.C. Pt. 2 from Prodigy was released, the first single "The Life," reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Single Sales Chart.

On December 17 Rapper Lil Wayne was Accused of Copyright Infringement

A federal lawsuit filed in May claims Lil Wayne didn't have permission to sample a song by singer Karma-Ann Swanepoel. The suit says Lil Wayne's record label, Cash Money Records, tried but failed to negotiate a license to use Swanepoel's song "Once" before millions of people downloaded the rapper's song "I Feel Like Dying."A court filing Tuesday by Lil Wayne's attorneys asks a judge in New Orleans to extend a Friday deadline for turning over documents requested by lawyers for the company that published Swanepoel's song.

 

My Opinion

:  I think is really bad for Weezy he is a good rapper in maybe the best of all time. And the leader of the new rap Are. But if Weezy is so big and powerful why would he take all the credit him self what was he going to do for the girl he just put the song out there with out her name on it. Even thou the both of them had calibrated on it together but if somebody stole Weezy’s hard work it would be a bigger deal and he would be mad. Imagine how the girl feels. You think it is the coolest thing working with one of the new hottest artist and then after all the hard work they take all the credit. That is really crappy no mater who you are if someone works really hard on something and when they are done say did nothing it was all me. That girl should get all the credit she deserves no questions asked.
